What is peer recovery support?
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) defines peer recovery support as a set of nonclinical, peer-based activities that engage, educate, and support individuals with mental health and/or substance use conditions.

Can I request support for myself?
Yes. You can self-refer by calling SMRC to discuss current availability and next steps. You do not have to share your medical history through this website.
What happens after I make contact?
Ask about current enrollment, the approved intake process, and a safe way to reconnect. SMRC has not yet confirmed a public response-time commitment or guaranteed appointment window.
Can I walk in or send a text?
HOURS OF OPERATION: 10am – 6pm Monday through Friday. Please call to make an appointment. Text-message availability has not been confirmed.
Can I connect on behalf of someone else?
Yes, you can connect on behalf of someone else through a separate referral pathway for families and community partners.
Involve the person and confirm their permission. Participation is voluntary, and a referral does not guarantee enrollment.
