About SMRC
Rooted in Kalamazoo.
Built around people.
Southwest Michigan Recovery Center is a peer-centered Recovery Community Organization connecting people in and seeking recovery with practical support, meaningful community, and opportunities to build forward.
Why SMRC exists
A practical next step
should feel within reach.
Recovery can involve more than one need at a time: someone to talk with, a connection to useful resources, a path toward work, and a sense of belonging. SMRC is being built to bring those connections together in Kalamazoo through voluntary, non-clinical peer support, employment integration, and community relationships.
Our center is established around people we serve: those seeking support, loved ones, referring partners, recovery-friendly employers, and people who want to give back.
